Mary & Isabella Faro 7/30/2019 9:57 AMI gave up on the points as they just don't seem fair. Some people post random stuff to get points and are way at the top and I couldn't catch up. Also some points look like they are before it even started. As well as looking around the Aquarium to see all the plastic there. BUT I am still trying daily to be plastic free and spread the word to better myself and my family. -

Mary & Isabella Faro 7/18/2019 8:28 AMOkay so I tried the new Scuba Cafe only to be sad at all the plastic I saw. Plastic cups for drinks not paper, Plastic cups for condiments and plastic baskets to serve food. :( Feeling challenged today. -
Mary & Isabella Faro 7/12/2019 10:20 AMI have to say I've had my bottle along time but I just love how cold it keeps my water. Plastic free water and still going strong! -
Mary & Isabella Faro 7/12/2019 10:19 AMYesterday we went to the vet. The dog got one tablet of meds that was wrapped in a foil, plastic wrapping and then put into a plastic bottle. :(
Why is not using plastic so hard. They could have avoided the plastic bottle and just gave him the pill. or gave it to us In the foil. Next time I'm asking ahead of time for plastic free since we will be getting it once a month for life. Our new little guy Maverick! -
Mary & Isabella Faro 7/11/2019 9:54 AMnothing to do with plastic but we recently switched to metal straws and then there was a warning on metal straws and using caution as they can cause harm? Did anyone else see this?-
Adele Philippides 7/11/2019 10:14 AMThere is a news article about a woman in England who impaled herself through the eye on a metal straw and died. Cue the sarcastic comments from anti-environmentalists. I think that the risks of that happening are minimal if you aren't walking while using said straw or don't have the straw in a rigid holder as some articles recommended. What we also don't hear about is how many people impale themselves on other rigid objects like knitting needles, yet nobody talks about the dangers of knitting. I personally don't see the need for any kind of straw - I use a Kleen Kanteen water bottle which has a spout, and a regular travel mug with an opening to drink from for any other beverage. But if you need a straw I don't think a metal one is overwhelmingly hazardous as long as you are careful. It's probably just as dangerous to text while walking...

Mary & Isabella Faro 7/10/2019 7:54 AMGood Morning Everyone! Yesterday was a challenge at the grocery store we looked at all the meats and most were in plastic or foam. So we went to another store with a good meat counter and got some over the counter in paper wrap. We got home and noticed inside they used a little plastic piece to scoop out the meat and wrapped it in plastic then paper. Realizing how much plastic is out there and it got us a little down. -
