I have not noticed a shift in my own community, but when I visited California, they used only paper straws, and as people don't really like them, many were using their own reusable metal straws.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Food Cook a Zero-Plastic Waste Meal
Do an inventory of your kitchen to see how many single-use plastics you've used in the past. What are some resuable alternatives to these commonly used products? What would your impact be if you switched all the single-use products from your inventory to reusable?

Alternatives to these products are those made of metal and/or glass that can be reused again and again without producing plastic waste. My impact would not necessarily be much, but if I were to encourage my friends and family to do the same, the impact would grow and grow.
