Heather Edbauer 7/18/2019 10:29 AMLast month, before I even knew about plastic free July, I created a Facebook group, Hampton Roads Zero Wasters, hoping to share experiences. There hasn’t been much conversation yet, but I’m not giving up. Join me there? -
Heather Edbauer 7/18/2019 8:46 AMIs anyone in the Hampton roads area taking their own containers to the store for meat and cheese? I don't have the courage yet, and am hoping to find a vendor where this practice is tried and true.-
Allie Hobgood 7/24/2019 7:52 AMI've done it at Kroger and Whole Foods with no problem! Just in case they wanted to get weird about having my container on their side of the counter (which no one really seemed concerned about) I just mention it before they start slicing and then hold my container up and let them plop my paper wrapped stuff into it. Then I stick the price sticker on the top of my pyrex.
