While at the Doctor’s office I was offered a water in plastic. I declined and showed the nurse my reusable water bottle and explained that I was participating in the plastic challenge.  She expressed interest and I was pleased that I had shared with her my enthusiasm.

Today I met some friends for lunch.  I presented each of them with their very own metal straw and straw cleaner brush.  We had a very proactive discussion about the challenge and our waiter was impressed.

Today was a fun day to start the challenge.  got to go out to eat and saved straws by having my own  and brought my own left over containers.  Having the containers with me prevented me from "clearing my plate" since I was prepared to bring some home.
