Lindsey Damazo 7/18/2019 10:11 PMIt was raining as I walked home, and I snagged 2 food wrappers that were precariously balanced over a storm drain, fighting desperately to avoid being washed away to become marine debris... okay, I may be anthropomorphizing a bit. But it did drive home a visual picture of how easily litter travels from the streets to the ocean.-
Marta Burnet 7/18/2019 11:41 PMI know! I always feel particularly good about picking up trash right on the drains—Like playing Operation.

Lindsey Damazo 7/15/2019 7:41 PMI can buy toilet paper individually wrapped in paper... Why can I not buy paper towel that isn't wrapped in plastic??? -
Lindsey Damazo 7/05/2019 11:00 PMPlastic-free travel: used my water bottle on the plane instead of accepting a drink in a plastic cup (although I do appreciate that Alaska collects recycling and trash separately). Also to be avoided: the hotel bathroom plastic cup that is wrapped individually in plastic. <sigh>-
dana wu 7/08/2019 2:57 PMi do like alaska for the same reasons! it's been hit or miss for me though - depending on the attendant, sometimes they have refused to pour water directly into my water bottle for sanitation reasons...?
