Yes, many locations that have beverages such as Boba/Smoothies offer bamboo straws or sell stainless steel ones. Which is wonderful! Some that do work so great are the paper ones used for cold or hot items like coffee or slurpees they begin to disintegrate before your drink is finished! Starbucks and others have also created (if you forget your mug) a straw free sippy cup lid. I personally like the stainless steel straws most and always (ok, almost always) have one handy.

    Personal Care Dam the Flow
Disposable tampons and menstrual pads are often quite expensive. What are the economic and personal benefits of this switch for you?

By using and buying my Lunette (created by a woman, yay!) a company with great values, charitably programs,  etc. I am keeping plastic applicator tampons out of our landfills as well as no longer getting sucked into the Pink Tax and putting less (albeit minuscule) money into the already wealthy Johnson & Johnson.
