I was super excited to find out that Lush makes shampoo and conditioner bars. They even come with reusable tins for storage. This is a brand I love and trust so it made the switch easy. I already use soap bars so check! Very happy to continue to reduce my plastic use this way in the future.

For the most part the restaurants in nyc have switched to compostable or paper straws but last night the restaurant I ate at did not. It was really sad to see.

  I bought some a while ago, too! They work so much better. The hardest part is remembering to bring them, so I keep them stuffed in my bigger reusable bag...sometimes after washing them I still forget and then at the store I feel so compelled to use them instead of plastic that I go home to get them or walk back to the store on a different day for just the items I need to use them for.
