REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonal CareWhat are the economic and personal benefits of switching to bar soap/shampoo/conditioner or refillable bottle options?
Kailee Caranta 7/23/2019 4:48 AMI was super excited to find out that Lush makes shampoo and conditioner bars. They even come with reusable tins for storage. This is a brand I love and trust so it made the switch easy. I already use soap bars so check! Very happy to continue to reduce my plastic use this way in the future. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodHave you noticed a shift in your community as more messaging about reusable straws becomes mainstream? Cite some examples.
Kailee Caranta 7/14/2019 10:56 AMFor the most part the restaurants in nyc have switched to compostable or paper straws but last night the restaurant I ate at did not. It was really sad to see. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodHow difficult was this challenge for you? What made it easy or difficult?
Kailee Caranta 7/14/2019 10:54 AMI ended up buying mesh produce bags because otherwise this would have been super difficult to maintain. I was so excited to go grocery shopping once I got them. It was great! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodGreat job on getting rid of your disposable cup habit! How does it make you feel? What's next on your list to reduce your waste?
Kailee Caranta 7/04/2019 5:55 AMThis was awesome because I actually got more coffee and a discount at my local coffee shop.
