Kaya Beery 7/15/2019 11:47 AMI just ordered some new cups to bring on picnics or to the beach and I'm really excited to add to my collection of reusable items. -
Kaya Beery 7/11/2019 2:09 PMI love my swell bottles! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Use Reusable UtensilsHow can you be an advocate for using resusables instead of disposables for the rest of your community? Where are they currently dependent on disposable cutlery, and how can you convince them of the need for change?
Kaya Beery 7/08/2019 10:09 AMI love my bamboo reusable items. Everyone is always so surprised to see me bring them out when I'm eating out. But they're so easy to carry around and throw in the dishwasher. I also stick my reusable straw in the pouch so it's all there ready to go! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonal Care Brusha Brusha BrushaWhat are the benefits of switching to bamboo toothbrushes? How would you implore others in your community to make this switch as well?
Kaya Beery 7/08/2019 10:08 AMThis is such an easy switch to make! One of the easiest, since this is not a one time use item. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Use a Reusable Mug / Collapsible CupGreat job on getting rid of your disposable cup habit! How does it make you feel? What's next on your list to reduce your waste?
Kaya Beery 7/03/2019 2:31 PMReally looking at my beauty/toiletry products! I feel like this is the area where there aren't as many options for sustainable packaging. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonal Care Lather UpWhat are the economic and personal benefits of switching to bar soap/shampoo/conditioner or refillable bottle options?
Kaya Beery 7/03/2019 11:09 AMI love using bar soap! I'm still looking for the perfect shampoo bar soap though. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Skip the StrawHave you noticed a shift in your community as more messaging about reusable straws becomes mainstream? Cite some examples.
Kaya Beery 7/03/2019 11:08 AMI really love how most restaurant/bars I go to in Los Angeles, they already have paper straws. I automatically say no straws- and then it turns out the straws are paper. It's nice to see these shifts in the community taking place. -
Kaya Beery 6/25/2019 10:07 AMExcited to find ways to reduce my plastic use this July!
