How difficult it is to have a perfect zero waste meal ... and to change my decision of years ago to stop picking up litter

Here is my thinking:  I eat bulk cashews which I buy in one pound packages at Natural Grocers, which recycles the packaging .... and I reuse it before that.  So I don't consider it is one time use plastic and therefore I am practicing zero waste from my standpoint.  Most of my protein comes from that kind of nuts and seeds packaging.

I didn't discover your plastic free ecochallenge  until a few days into July.  I was looking for a plastic free activity challenge to offer my congregation at church.  We have an Eco-Justice group & do a variety of activities - movies, vegan potlucks & participate in  interfaith climate change activities locally  but I want to give...

I'm involved in a number of other Earth and Indigenous people caring organisations and have found I don't have the time and attention -to take on some of the political work and contacts suggested around plastic issues.  Darn.

I've lost the thresd for some reason ... life too full.    I'm not carrying these in my consciousness to honor each day!

I just typed and it didn't take so here I am repeating .... that system didn't allow me to go back and check in for last week end when i was too busy to post my doings.

Bummer ... was so busy and engaged last weekend that I didn't check off my daily doings so missed out ... darn.  Now the system won't let me go back.   Oh Well.

I consider that I am cooking zero waste meals even when I buy bulk rice in the Natural Grocer's bags whose content isn't clear to me but which they recycle .... but I do wonder.
