    Inspired by Rob's post, I've started keeping a bag in my car that contains "Tupperware" type containers, plastic spoons, and reusable straws. I had leftovers when eating in a restaurant tonight, so I went to my car & came back with a container for my leftovers.

    I have noticed more places not giving out straws and several ask me about my stainless steel straw.

    Many moons ago, I switch to glass and other reusable containers for freezing and storing food.  We don't use plastic wrap or aluminum foil generally.    We also do not use paper towels - wasteful - use cloth napkins or small towels instead

    I may have gotten a slow start, it seems like I forgot to check a few days, but I am on a role now.  It is amazing that while I already do so ,any things there is still more to learn. Hats off to all of the participants that are moving this process forward

    Other than getting safe pet chews, my daughter and i are also making our own dog food from " real food" like peas, carrots, rice, chicken liver...  I also use my own grocery bags (not a common practice where i live) and purchased washable produce bags i found thru this site.  Other than that, i need to make time to research &...

    I went out to dinner with relatives to Lemongrass.  I keep two 24-oz sturdy plastic containers from some restaurant that we keep in the car in a plastic bag to avoid having to get new containers for leftovers.  In this case, we finished our meals but another couple didn't, so we gave them our stuff.  That avoided two more new leftover...
