One of the biggest things I learned is just how hard it is to get away from plastic containers.  They're everywhere.  The metal tumbler I use at work in lieu of disposable cups has a plastic lid.  I don't want to give up eating berries, which are one of summer's great pleasures, but no one puts them out in cardboard containers any more--just...

So far the challenge is going very well. We continue to do the things out in the community that we normally do and now we are showing it to the WORLD! LOL. But in all seriousness, this is an opportunity to get out and walk the walk!

I myself am guilty of this as I sometimes feel overwhelmed at the thought of having to carve specific time out of my days to go to...

Fore those in the Charlotte area: please share if you have any lunch spots that are plastic-free! Of course bringing your own food is preferred, but we all know time is of the essence. Would love to hear from you if you have any recommendations.

yes, it hasn't been has extended as it should be. There are a couple of places around my neighborhood that already made the change and at some local bars they have a message that they will give an straw only if you ask.

I send a FB message to the Showmars people because they use too much plastic, I stopped going there for lunch because they never replied back. I pretty much eat all the time at Soho Bistro, no plastic waste.
