I thought I was doing well at minimizing my plastic footprint, but this challenge showed me I still have a ways to go.... The challenge may be over but I'm up for another month!

I use so many plastic water bottles but we have well water so the tap tastes like pennies and we would go through brita filters like crazy. I wonder if there are better options?

We also eat way more yogurt cups than I realized.

I watched Waste Land. Certainly compelling and somewhat depressing but beautiful. I love that art can also be used to call attention to this problem!

As you have reduced your spending, what have you noticed about your 'health and safety' purchasing habits? How might this change your longer term purchasing decisions?

I'm a little late in actually posting this, but I didn't realize how much I spend on lotions, perfumes, etc. until I saw a bill without these things. Maybe I should try making my own?

Well, I really slacked off last week, but I am picking up the pace. Do you guys know if I am still able to add more challenges?

I think it concerns me most that some people choose not to recognize the negative impact that small actions can have. The world isn't broken all at once, it is being hurt one plastic grocery bag at a time. I am just so excited to join you all in taking small steps in the right direction, and committing to the little changes that will make a big difference!
