Hamza Zougagh 7/04/2019 9:20 PMFor Plastic Free July I switched from plastic razors to a stainless steel razor. It's definitely a closer shave! -
Hamza Zougagh 7/02/2019 6:33 PMI switched to a bamboo toothbrush and toothpaste tabs to reduce plastic at home. Maybe when I run out of mouthwash I'll try mouthwash tablets. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Keep My Community CleanHow does the act of picking up litter connect you more to your community?
-
Cheryl Bernardo 7/02/2019 9:43 AMI agree. I was raised to leave a place better than i found it,pick up after myself. Just makes the surroundings you are in a much nicer, neater, cleaner place, I, for 1 like to eat, or enjoy an area free from trash.

Hamza Zougagh 7/02/2019 9:34 AMSo far so good. We cooked everything at home and avoided takeout which brings the most plastic into our home. How about you all? How's it going?-
Green ATLien 7/02/2019 9:50 AMOMG takeout can be such a struggle for that reason. Also trying to cook my way out of Plastic Free July XD

REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonal Care Pretty oh so PrettyHow can you advocate for the importance of reducing packaging to the rest of your friends, family and larger community?
-
Green ATLien 7/02/2019 9:49 AMOh I like that idea!

REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonal Care Back in the BowlWhy is it so difficult to understand the impacts our purchases and waste have on other people, animals, and places? How might your experience with this challenge impact your future consumption and choices?
Hamza Zougagh 7/02/2019 9:32 AMI think because many people live in isolation and don't see the impacts of these choices. Many people also live estranged from nature and feel less connection to the land than they once did. After this challenge I think I will have formed more long-lasting habits to choose plastic-free options.-
Green ATLien 7/02/2019 9:49 AMSame story here! Glad to have you on board!

REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonal Care Fresh as a DaisyDo some research on the toxic side affects of aluminum deodorant. After reading the side effects, can you think of instances where you may have experienced the side effects from this form of deodorant?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONFood Advocate For More Food Packaging OptionsSingle use plastics have become normalized in our society to the point that most people don't see them as a problem. What would you say to a friend, colleague, or family member who may not understand why these disposables are an issue?
Hamza Zougagh 7/02/2019 9:29 AMBecause a dumpster truck size amount of plastic enters the ocean every day. We have evidence of the harm it's doing to marine life and how it's affecting the water we drink and the air we breathe.-
Green ATLien 7/02/2019 9:48 AMThat sounds pretty convincing to me!
