  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Use Reusable Containers
How can you think outside the box (or bag!) when it comes to disposables?

I think looking as what your food is served in at restaurants can be eye opening. Many places serve their food on wax paper these days, and that is a great food storage device until you can get home to your reusable containers.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Use Reusable Utensils
How can you be an advocate for using resusables instead of disposables for the rest of your community? Where are they currently dependent on disposable cutlery, and how can you convince them of the need for change?

Just by being an example and using reusable or showing people how easy it is can make a big impact on people. I know I have been refusing straws a lot, and I see other people do the same and the servers ask who wants a straw instead of just giving one to everyone.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Minimize Packaging
With the added mindfulness of reducing your packaging, what have you noticed about the amount and type of single use plastics used for packaging when you shop in the grocery store?

I have noticed how noticed how incredibly wasteful our culture is overall. There are options that each of us can choose that really do minimize how much waste we are creating.

It helps me make the community more beautiful!

    Personal Care Brusha Brusha Brusha
What are the benefits of switching to bamboo toothbrushes? How would you implore others in your community to make this switch as well?

The benefit of getting bamboo tooth brushes is that they are a little cheaper, and at the same time better for the environment. Plus all the cool kids are doing it!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Food Buy Unpackaged Produce
Why do you think these produce products started amassing so much plastic packaging? Who is the plastic packaging really serving -- the consumer, the producer, or someone else?

The consumer at first, but now I think that it is just the producer.
