Making memories.....here's one that summarizes my thoughts this month.

I have a friend who is in to a different kind of composting, it's called Bokashi Composting.  The benefits include:

    - you can compost all foods including meat, dairy, and bread.
    - you don't have to worry about mixing greens and browns.
    - no insect or rodent issues and no smells.
    - minimal greenhouse gases produced.
    - no loss of nutrients to the ground or air.
    - finished product is full of micronutrients.
    - it can be used on any scale (works great for apartments).
    - organic waste doesn't have to be turned.
    - faster than traditional composting.

I wish we had another month so that I could tell you my results (I have two traditional composters going), but my friend is so excited about it that her eyes light up when she talks about it.  In fact she usually finds a way to steer the conversation towards Bokashi Composting.  She personally made me my system...in fact if you're interested,  look me up at the Aquarium because I'm sure she'd make one fore you too! 🌱🌿🍃

Boy with all the heat here in Southern California there's one thing that I'm really thankful for.... my reusable water bottle!

Well, we're coming round the corner.  I'm losing momentum and I want this to be a lifelong change so I need to reinvigorate myself somehow....

Collected trash again. why is it always cigarette butts? It seems that's what I always find, more and more butts. Probably because I always do it in the same neighborhood...my neighborhood!  Guess there's more work to be done here!

I have to this challenge is sparking debate in my family. I've attached a picture of a plastic bag from some ice cream my sister brought over. After the ice cream was eaten,  she threw the bag away, I said wait a minute,  you need to recycle that. On closer inspection,  there isn't recycling information on it.  My sister says "When in doubt,  throw it out," I don't agree. Who's right?
